November edition

"The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers said it would be "amenable" to setting up a forum for women. However, communications director, Nikki Cann, said they had yet to receive requests to set up such a network. The Association does not have a diversity policy, despite only 165 of its 1,100 individual members being female with no women on its board of directors. But it stressed it was committed to helping new members succeed. Cann said: "We are always more than happy to offer help and support to any new broker who enters the commercial mortgage market place and the association is running more and more events to encourage networking and offer training and development opportunities throughout 2008."
